Pakachoag Church has a decades long history of committing its resources to the development of community programs and activities that serve the common good. The Pakachoag Center exists as an outgrowth of the church's past, present and hope for the future in keeping with the following Vision and Mission statements. Programs currently taking place at the Center are often connected with private non profit and/or governmentally funded groups aimed at lifting up and supporting specific, often marginalized communities. Public events aimed at bringing together the wider surrounding community in keeping with the following Vision and Mission statements are also a priority.
Vision
A more harmonious world in which people come together in ways that transcend sect, serve to eradicate prejudice and embrace life in all its complexities and diversity.
Mission
To build an inclusive community by offering a gathering space on a shared and mutually responsible basis to individuals, groups and organizations that mirror and/or identify with our broad and expansive values. To that end, the Center is premised on a reciprocal relationship rather than a space utilization arrangement. In this way, we can influence and benefit from each other in ways that support the whole.
